The Use of a Sports Bra

Many people equate the use of a sports bra with someone who is highly athletic such as a runner or someone who participates in a great deal of sports activities. Though this is the general belief of many women, this is not factual information. Any woman who participates in even regular exercise should invest in a sports bra. A good sports bra is just as important as a good pair of the proper type of shoes for the purpose, yet 73% of women who exercise on a regular basis are not wearing them.

There are a great deal of myths that exist concerning the care of the breasts. One of these is that the breast has no muscles. The fact is that glandular tissue and fat comprises most of the female breast, which is held in position by very delicate ligaments. This means that an excessive movement of the breast such as that which occurs during exercise causes strain on these ligaments. Over time, the ligaments will stretch, and in the long term, the breasts will begin to sag. Once the ligaments stretch, there is no exercise that will return the breasts to their former position. Even if you have small breasts, exercise will cause a movement of 40mm away from the body, so the need for support during exercise is important no matter what size breasts you have.

Another problem that is the result of inadequate breast support is sore and tender breasts following exercise. A survey conducted of general practitioner’s showed that 80% agree that the support of a sports bra will reduce stress on the ligaments and help delay the long-term sagging breasts. Though many women are of the mistaken notion that an ordinary, everyday bra can provide the same support, studies have shown that breast movement is reduced by only 38% as opposed to 74% when a sports bra is worn.

If you are athletic or even exercise regularly, you should certainly invest in a sports bra in order to prevent the movement of your breast during periods of activity or exercise. It is also a welcome addition after childbirth when it is recommended that you keep your bra on twenty-four hours a day since a sports bra is much more comfortable for sleeping and prevents the breasts from moving around during sleep.

The use of sports bras among women is grossly underutilized, especially among those who regularly exercise. If this is not changed within a very short time frame, the future is going to show an increase in the number of women with weak and sagging breasts. The time to work toward preventing this is in the early years of life before any permanent damage has been done. As already stated, no exercise is going to reverse stretched ligaments that are the result of a lack of support. The solution to the problem is prevention rather than cure. Keeping this in mind be sure that before you attend your next exercise session, you purchase a well-fitting sports bra that will reduce the amount of breast movement as you work out or perform sports.

Surely Fashion Essentials - Chemises And Camisoles

Peek a boo floral front embroidered shimmering babydoll, and matching G-string
If there were a piece of lingerie that has become a fashion essential, it is the camisole or chemise. Really, camisoles can be found everywhere and usually not in the lengerie selection of the store. With the trend towards layering of tops, chemises are very functional in adding detail such as lace peeking below a t-shirt with out adding bulk. Silk chemises are even considered business wear when pair with a suit jacket. They add a wonderfully feminine touch with a hint of sheen or a bit of lace. Again they do not add bulk, a huge plus with a tailored jacket.

If you are shopping for a camisole, consider silk. Silk is lightweight, breathable, and very sexy. A silk chemise can be worn to work as part of a suit or to a party paired with jeans. With a beautiful detail such as lace on the bottom you can comfortably wear silk under a t-shirt or peeking from below a blouse.

Camisoles can be found in the clothing and the lengerie selections of retail stores and web stores. Camisoles can also be fitted especially when made of cotton stretch fabric and have built in bras. This makes them even better for layers. But other chemises are looser fit. Fabrics types are everything under the sun. Lingerie style camisoles are usually satin, silk or lace.

But you are looking for lingerie, specifically naughty lingerie. Well, a camisole with matching panties is sexy choice. Cami sets are very affordable when compared with other pieces of lengerie. What message to you want to send? Sweet and innocent, sultry and hot? It can be done with a camisole set. For sweet and innocent, try a silk chemises with a bikini panty detailed with feminine lace. Sultry and hot, sheer black camisole with a thong panty. Lingerie camisoles also have little revealing details like key holes. Some have built in bras, others are don't. Others have more naughty details such open tops in the bra area. Camisoles are very comfortable as they not usually extremely fitted. But not matter what you choose, remember men love hot lingerie.

Given that camisoles work as lingerie and as clothing, you can invest in several. When shopping for camisoles, determine how you want to wear them. That will tell you what department to shop in. But always check out the other departments. You may be surprised to find the perfect match to your new suit in the lingerie department. On the other hand, a chemise from the clothing section pair with a new pair of panties and you have a new hot lingerie set. Another option you want to consider when shopping for camisoles if you will wear them with a bra. If you do not want to, then purchase a chemise with a built in bra. If you need more support, consider purchasing a camisole with built in underwires. These types are usually found in the lingerie section.

When considering purchasing a camisole or chemise, remember their versatility. This makes them an excellent addition to your wardrobe and money well spent. A woman can not have too many feminine details in her wardrobe and lingerie drawer.

Buying The Right Lingerie?

If there is one thing that lingerie brings to mind it is the kind of excitement and romance that only such delicate and interesting pieces of clothing can bring into your life. These are the kinds of things that you can wear in order to really impress the love interest in your life. Because of the kind of impression you can make, you always want to be sure that you have the right pieces that are sure to set off your body type as well as your mood.

To start with, the best way to bring incredible memories into your life is being comfortable. This works in two ways because you want to feel nice and comfortable with the material and fit of your lingerie, but you also want to be comfortable with each design that you choose. After all, if you really are not ready to wear something that is too naughty, you may want to hold off on the vinyl lingerie set for a while!

If you are on the hunt for pieces that are mainly to wear to bed as you sleep, take your body type into account and make sure that you do not choose pieces that are too restrictive. Soft, flowing materials seem to work best when it comes to lingerie selections that you will want for sleeping. With the right choices, you will be able to sleep without any seams that are uncomfortable or too much material twisting around on you.

For lingerie that is meant to tempt your love interest, you can always look once again to your body type to give you hints on the right styles to choose from. Certainly, for any woman who has a smaller bust, you can always choose a set that includes a push up bra or even a nice chemise with embellishments around the bust line. This is the perfect way to accentuate the area and give you the look that you desire.

If you like to keep things light and fun in the bedroom, why not go ahead and choose a sexy bustier and panty set? These sets are just right for hugging your curves and bringing an alluring feel to your overall look. Not only that, but you may even want to add a sexy garter along with thigh hi stockings for the ultimate in seduction. Make the right choices for the best lingerie and you will have plenty of wonderful memories to look back upon.

Top 10 Tips For Buying Women's Lingerie

For any man buying a woman lingerie can be a very challenging experience. However, the time spent on this task can really show a woman just how much they mean to the man in their lives. To help you men we offer below the top ten tips for buying women's lingerie and which should make this task so much simpler in the future.

Tip 1 - Although you may think a woman looks great wearing a thong unfortunately there are plenty of women who aren't comfortable baring their bottom in such lingerie. Rather what you should be doing is actually choosing lingerie which not only they feel comfortable in but also which flatters the areas of their body that they like.

If for example the woman you are buying for has nice legs then buy her a baby doll set or short chemise which helps to show them off better.

Tip 2 - It is crucial that when buying women's lingerie a man knows her bra size. Unfortunately if you get this item wrong it isn't going to be something that she will enjoy wearing. If it is going to be a surprise gift then without her realizing it check out what size is in the bra's she wears currently or even ask one of her friends. But if it isn't going to be a surprise present then ask her directly and only order such lingerie items if you are absolutely sure you are going to get exactly what she needs.

Tip 3 - It is important that you know exactly what body shape your partner has as what you may not realize each piece of lingerie will sit differently on each woman. The shapes that women tend to be are pear where they are small on top and then taper out towards the hips. The upside down pear where a woman has smaller hips but wider shoulders. The hour glass figure is where everything is evenly proportioned. By knowing her body shape you will be better able to select items of lingerie that will flatter it.

Tip 4 - Another thing you need to be aware of is the kind of personality your partner has. If she is an outgoing person then you can choose lingerie that is a little more exciting and daring. Instead of sticking to the norm go for things with more outrageous colours or even for animal print styles. As for the more demure type of women stick to the classics that come in subtle shades and colours. What you should never do is purchase clothes that you think that they should be wearing to make you happy.

Tip 5 - You need to look carefully at the colours of the lingerie you buy for your partner and again take into consideration the kind of woman she is. If your partner is a brunette then she is quite capable of wearing the much bolder colours such as emerald greens or deep purples, whilst a blonde is able to wear more effectively lingerie that comes in pastel shades.

Tip 6 - Think about how the lingerie is going to feel against her skin when she is wearing it. Okay lace may look nice and sexy but can be very uncomfortable as it can irritate the skin. Ideally it is far better to go for materials which are more tactile and feel more comfortable when worn such as silk, satin or velvet.

Tip 7 - It is a good idea to find out what makes of lingerie your partner enjoys wearing and if you can purchase items from their ranges. The most favoured types of lingerie that many women enjoy wearing are those made by La Perla, Agent Provocateur and Victoria's Secrets. If you can purchase items from these ranges and you can't go very wrong in getting your partner a present that she will enjoy wearing for a long time to come.

Tip 8 - Although you may not think it a good idea but get her friends involved as they will really be able to tell you what she likes wearing. They will be able to give you a clearer idea of what styles of lingerie she likes to wear so you don't make any mistakes, but also they will know which companies she prefers.

Tip 9 - If you are going to be purchasing any lingerie on line it is best not to purchase through an auction site although the prices may be less. Rather by going through a reputable online store they often provide a guarantee where goods can be returned as long as they are not worn and they can either be replaced or a refund given.

Tip 10 - Yes you have brought your woman some wonderful lingerie but don't just give as it is instead spend time making sure that you package it correctly first. It is important that you make the gift look as pretty as possible and always line the inside of the present with some nice tissue paper that is wrapped around it. Along with the lingerie why not put another small gift into the package such as some jewellery or perfume.

Above we have offered ten top tips for buying women's lingerie. Keep these in mind and your girlfriend and partner may choose to provide you with your own special viewing of what you have brought them before you go out one evening.

Decent Bra
This bra ran a little small in the band with. Think I would have ordered the next size up. It is a very nice bra and looks great under all types of shirts. The only negative that I have is that at the end of the day, the netting which comprises the band, can be a little uncomfortable.

How To Care For Your Exotic Lingerie

Having spent your hard earned money on your beautiful lingerie, then the last thing you want to do is see it ruined after the first wash. Unlike other clothing lingerie is very different when it comes to washing.

Babydoll’s and Chemises cannot be treated the same way as Jeans and Shirts and just be thrown into the washing machine on a normal cycle and left. The result would be a trip to your nearest lingerie store to replace the item.

Women’s Lingerie will not last for ever but by following some simple guidelines your Camisoles and Teddies will last longer and keep their shape.

Lingerie today comes in fabrics and materials that make caring for the item easier than in days gone by. Most of the underwear sold today will come with manufacturers tags recommending how to care for your Satin Babydoll or your Lace Bustier. These recommendations should be followed if the lingerie is to last.

The tags will separate your lingerie into different washes, dry clean only, hand wash and machine wash. Make sure you always read the label as to the type of wash as mistakes can be very costly. So let’s look at the different types of cleaning.

Dry clean only

This is probably the easiest option as the garment can only be cleaned at a specialist shop. This could cause a problem as lingerie is a very private item and not everybody would be happy to take their Teddy or garter Set into a shop to be cleaned. There are products available that can be used at home and imitate the dry cleaning process for those not willing to use a dry cleaning shop.

Machine Wash

The modern washing machine is a time saving invention but it can cause major damage to your delicate underwear if the instructions are not followed.

Always wash your lingerie in cold water and use a detergent specially recommend for delicates never use bleach. Never wash dark and light colors together. Finally combine this with the delicate cycle on your washing machine and your lingerie should have no problems with repeated washes.

However as I have mentioned before Babydolls, Chemises, Camisoles and Bustiers can be delicate items with lace trims, ribbons, hooks and eyes that need to be cared for. Just putting these items into a washing machine even if you follow the instructions above could result in damage. To avoid this put your lingerie into a lingerie bag for extra protection (this is a mesh bag that allows soap and water in, but stops your lingerie being stretched, and can be purchased from most department stores). Only put one item per bag as this will stop the lingerie becoming entangled. Also always make sure all the hooks and eyes and buttons are fastened, and that zippers are closed and ribbons and drawstrings are tied.

Hand Wash

Hand washing is the alternative to the machine wash. Again the principle is the same, always wash in cold water and use a delicates detergent. Soak the lingerie in a bowl filled with cold water and detergent for about 30 minutes then drain and refill the bowl with clean water and no detergent, leave for another 30 minutes then drain the water. This should be sufficient for most washes; however for stains or odours this process can be repeated. Never wring out your lingerie as this could effect the shape.

Drying

Again due to the fabrics used in your lingerie it is always best to hang dry or flat dry your garments. Dryers can cause un-repairable damage to your silk Chemise or satin Babydoll. If you have to use a dryer then leave the lingerie in the lingerie bag and set the dryer at its lowest possible setting. You will find that sheer fabrics such as mesh or Chiffon require no heat to dry.

So by taking a little care and reading the tags on your lingerie, your Babydolls, Chemises, Teddies, Camisoles and Bustiers should look as good as new wash after wash.

The perfect bra for her first underwire cups.

Maidenform Girls One Fabulous Fit Bra Style 3553 Excellent pre teen/teen bra.
My daughter loves these bras. She is only 11, but these girls are maturing so much faster now a days it seems. It gives a very nice fit and finished look. It is not too bulky or too padded. These are the only bras that my daughter finds to be comfortable. The microfiber is really nice too. I think that is one of the reasons they are so comfortable.

Great bra, misleading color
My teenage daughter loves this bra and we have purchased it before, always in plain white. The last time I ordered white, it came with multi-colored hearts, crowns etc all over it! My daughter was horrified. I tried to return it but they told me "our white is not white but comes with designs. you got what you ordered"! The picture was WHITE and the color I chose was WHITE. Apparently there is no longer a plain white bra available.

Tips For Bra Shopping

How many times have you put off going into the department store and shopping for bras? If you're anything like me, the answer is numerous times.

Bra shopping is typically not fun and can be a really frustrating experience. Plus, if you have no idea what you are doing and you don't have anyone to help you, it can be a nightmare. Well, in this article, you'll learn everything you need to know to become an experienced bra shopper. You'll be able to zip in and out of any department store with a quality bra that fits. Plus, you'll have fun doing so. Sound exciting? You bet.

1. First, you need to know your bra size. Yes, this might seem like a no-brainer but you'll be surprised how many women have no clue about their true bra sizes. In fact, women's bra sizes tend to change from time to time. So, although you might have been a size A when you first acquired breasts, after nursing your children, you might end up as a size B or C. The key is to find a bra for the size that you are now. To do so, obtain a measuring tape and have someone measure you. You'll need to measure around your ribs (directly under your breasts). Add five to this number which will be your bra size. Then, you'll need to wrap the tape measurer around the fullest part of your breasts. Subtract the two amounts and each one is your cup size.

Sound complicated? Well, it really isn't. You can do it. For those of you who prefer not to, I found this really great tool at that does everything for you automatically; all you need is your measurements. Take a peek at http://www.fullerboobs.com/measurebreastsize-site.php .

2. Next, figure out what type of bra you want. That is, what is your purpose for buying this bra? Are you looking for a special occasion, maternity, nursing, jogging/exercise or some other type of bra? Do you crave light support or do you prefer a bra with cushioning to make your breasts appear fuller? The key is to figure out exactly what you want this bra to do for you.

3. Third, know your budget. Keep your budget in mind before you even hit the stores. Stores have a habit of using clever marketing ploys and can persuade you that you need tall sorts of bras and gadgets that you actually don't know. By knowing your budget beforehand, you won't be attempted to buy more than you need.

4. Try it on. Next, you'll need to try on the bra. Not only should it be visually pleasing but it should also:

- be comfortable around the shoulders
- not ride up the shoulders (if it does, it is too big)
- not make marks in your back (if it does, it is too small)

In conclusion, bra shopping doesn't have to be a royal pain. By knowing your bra size, what you're looking for and trying it out, you'll find the perfect bra for you. So go on girl, go bra shopping and have a blast!

Simple Guidelines to Help you Choose the Right Bra Size

You spend so much time following fashion trends. You want to look great in the outfits you buy. I know I do. But aren’t you forgetting a big part of the picture? What about what’s under all these lovely fashions? That’s right, your lingerie. Because if what’s underneath isn’t right your outfit just won’t look right.

There is something special about those intimate outfits. Your bra and panties, those sexy dainty pieces of cloths you have on, that normally no one sees. Your breasts are being supported. The under wire lightly padded bra gives you a D cup size look, that you have always wanted. That G string feels so sexy. The materials are so sheer, you can’t even tell you are wearing them under your outfit.

You feel sexy. You know you are looking good. You feel confident. All those feeling just emanate from your personality. That just makes your outfit look 110% better.

How do you get that extra edge in life? You’ve heard of the saying, “Dress for success.” Well here is where you start.

Perfect Fit Checklist

Let's face it, do we really know what a good fitting bra looks like? What are the signs that a bra is the wrong size? Well, let us help. Here is a checklist of what to look for.

Smooth fitting cups: If you don't fill out the cups, you need a smaller size. If you are "overflowing" in the cups, try a larger cup size or a style with a fuller cup design.

The edges of the cups should also lie flat against your breast. If there is a gap (especially with padded bras), you should go down a cup size.

Center panel lays flat against your breast bone: If it does not, this could be a sign that your cup size is too small, or the panel is not large enough to accommodate the separation between your breasts.

The bottom of the bra in the front and back is parallel to the floor or slightly lower in the back: The lower edge of the band should anchor below the shoulder blades. The lower the back fits, the better the support.

A finger can be run under the front band: Your bra should be snug, but not too tight. If it's tight, you need a larger band size or a looser hook placement.

Still not the perfect fit? Consider an alteration. We alter our clothes for a better fit, why not a bra? One woman in our office really measures to a 35 band size. She therefore buys a 36D and has a dart put in at the sides.

Now that you understand how to fit your bra, your on your way to looking and feeling GREAT!

Have a look at the Tatiana designer bra and pantie sets. You will find a wonderful selection.

Wonderful support
This bra fits well and adds a great amount of support without wires or other hard to live with features. The wide straps combined with the front closure make for a very comfortable bra. I was afraid it would be to bulky to wear under my tanks and some of my tshirts but it worked out fine.

Tips for Finding the Perfect Bra

Buying your first bra after your breast augmentation surgery is exciting, and it should be! You finally made the decision to get the larger, fuller breasts you were dreaming about. For some women, they wanted more than just a little bit off fullness, they wanted huge breast implants. Regardless of which breast implant size you chose, every woman needs to have the correct fitting bra.

The women with larger than average breast implants and smaller than average frames report that the novelty of bra shopping really wears off--fast. If you are small-boned and are getting medium to large implants you may find that bra shopping can become frustrating.Although, it is a lot easier now that bra companies are realizing that they need bigger cups and smaller band sizes due to the popularity of the number of women choosing large breast implants.

Important: choosing a proper fitting Bra.

It is very important that you wear a proper fitting bra. Many believe in formulas which determine your exact bra size, and while this can help and be the right place to start, each woman and her breasts, are different. It doesn't take long wearing a certain bra for you to figure out if it does or does not fit you right

Finding the perfect bra isn't impossible after your breast enhancement procedure, it just may be a little more difficult. It is very important to find one which properly fits your frame and supports your breasts.

Tips for finding the perfect bra:

*If your bra band is riding up in the back and if you find your self trying to lift your breasts by shortening your shoulder straps you are only doing your breasts a disservice.

*Also very important, when buying a new bra it should fit snugly on the last setting (the loosest hook set) this way when your bra stretches with wear you can fasten it tighter if needed on the next two settings.

*If you find post-operatively that your bras bag at the nipple area, try purchasing a bra with Lycra in it which will conform to the breasts.

*If you have that horrible look, where your breasts have been split in two and spilling over and out of your bra, you may need a larger cup size.

*Do your breasts fall out when you bend over? You may need more coverage.

*Bra Care: It is best to either, hand-wash and line dry your bras, or machine wash inside of a lingerie bag and line dry to extend the life of your bras. High heat will weaken elastic and ruin your bras.

Be sure to re-measure yourself in the event of weight gain or loss, even if 7 to 10 lb, pregnancy, or simply as time goes by. Measurements can vary over the years. Getting the advice of a professional bra fitter is important in the long term appearance of your breasts.

Plus Size Bra Tips

Bodies come in all shapes and sizes, and it's unfortunate but true that some people have a harder time finding clothes that fit them properly than other people do. This is especially true when you are shopping for a plus size bra. Lingerie makers have finally realized that women's bodies come in a multitude of sizes and shapes, so there are now more styles of plus size bras than ever before, and many are actually pretty. However, it can still be difficult to find a plus size bra that fits your body exactly the way you wish it would. An ill fitting bra can make even designer couture look bad. Wearing a bra that doesn't fit properly can be an uncomfortable feeling as well. It can lead to poor posture and chafing, neither of which is much fun. Underwires that dig into your rib cage can also be a problem. If you are a woman who needs a plus size bra and are having a hard time finding one that fits you perfectly, here are some tips to help you find one that fits right the first time you wear it. It's time to stop returning lingerie to the store!

Companies that only sell "unmentionables", clothes and other items for larger females are becoming more commonplace. You will not find items for younger girls, or other pieces that can be found in a multitude of shop. If you have ever been referred to as "plus size", and have trouble finding well made items that fit you in typical retailers, you should consider looking in one of these shops. Since they are specialists, they will have a better selection of items than other retailers. That includes those who advertise their inclusiveness.

Though you may think that you are a size 36DD, a professional fitter may have a different opinion. A professional fitting may be just the thing to bring a pleasant surprise on the fit of your bra. Getting measured for a plus size bra is the best way to get the bra that is just right for you, eliminating future discomfort. Victoria's Secret is a great place to go as they always have fitters available who are well trained to get the perfect measurements for you. Getting a bra that is perfectly suited to your body and your needs will eliminate the straps digging in and the chafing, you can kiss them goodbye.

The truth is that plus size bras just aren't small! If you have large breasts, love them the way they are. You cannot try to shrink them down by squeezing them into a smaller bra, even if you think it looks good. Trying to reduce the appearance of your breast size just isn't worth the discomfort and the sooner you realize this, the better! We weren't all born with tiny, perky breast, and many who were are probably jealous of your assets. Learn to love the body you were born with and revel in your generous chest!

Trying Large Size Bras

It has now become a need for manufacturer’s to survey busty women before they get to sewing bras. It has become a life long struggle for busty women to find a large size bras.Soon there will be a revolt when years of bottled up frustration breaks free. We are not demanding for anything big, so hear me.

The first fact, full figured women are no demanding push-up bras. In large size bras a push up bra does not exist. There are push out bras in the bigger sizes. No more efforts need be put to attract more attention to a women’s breasts if they are larger than B-cup. It will simply be overdoing it.

More than enough amount of time has been spent in making busts look bigger. If you still continue to manufacture large size bras, I think now is the time that these ladies already are endowed with large enough boobs. No more help is required from your side in this regard.

At the same time, we don’t desire to be suffocated in bras we put on. Many large size bras are manufactures so as to flatten the bust line. I found some great information at http://www.masspressreleases.com. In case of sports bra this is acceptable, but not for daily used undergarments. Large size bras are meant to be actually for large size breasts. We need ease to breathe, please.

Do also remember to decide about the actual sizes. I have noticed and done my research and found that no all cups are the same. But we still have to buy large size bras. The numbers are all your domain and I wish you all the luck you require.

The sizes are not all standardized. A D-cup for one company is a double D for another. There are even “almost” seizes that make me all the more angry. Ultimately we will have large size bras categorized as plus and minus. Soon we will hear things like: “I was a C-plus but I fell to C-minus.”

Ladies who have big boobs experience a lot of difficulty while shopping. Maybe large size bras are more in demand than regular full-figured ones. I hope never to find it out.

Our demands are pretty straightforward. We want a constancy and support in our large size bras. We don’t want to be asphyxiated and taken advantage of. Do give a good thought to these terms while sewing the large size bras. Same is definitely applicable to relationship between people. Nobody wants to be forced, subdued and taken for granted.
